What people are saying about Alamo Guest House

Fantastic stay. - Rating 5/5

My husband and I stayed at the Alamo for one night and I only wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel itself is in a great location in Glasgow, is beautifully decorated and is very cosy as well. Our room had everything we needed and was gorgeous too. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we especially enjoyed the dining room area where we had coffees in the evening and breakfast the next day. The breakfast was delicious. Great, varied menu and the hotel catered for my dietary requirements. I can't recommend the hotel enough. I definitely hope to be back soon.

Wonderful stays at Alamo - Rating 5/5

My son and I just spent a week in the UK visiting universities and were lucky to stay at the Alamo twice during that time. It is such a lovely, friendly, cozy, fabulously-located place. The beds are so comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, and its location on Kelvingrove Park is terrific. Super close to the Uni of Glasgow and many great restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

An excellent stay - Rating 5/5

We came to Glasgow to visit the Kelvingrove Museum and Gallery. The Alamo is just a short walk across the park from the museum, so perfectly located for culture vultures. We found the Alamo comfortable and welcoming, with staff who couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. And the breakfasts… wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great b&B in super location- Rating 5/5

Friendly staff, spacious room, lovely breakfast . Excellent tea in the room.Perfect locationOnly downside is the shower which is really variable in temperature and limited flow. Our visit was also let down by loud music and dancing until 2am!Might have been room 2 or next door .No idea what we should have done to try to stop it.

Great place to stay - Rating 5/5

Upgraded our room to a suite and was well worth it. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was huge and luxurious and the bed very comfortable. Only problem I had was trying to watch TV at night, while in bed. TV would be better hung on the corner of the roomor change out the wall mount so it can pull out and turn. Also they said to keep the TV volume at an 8 after 2100, however in such a big room it was hard to hear. Otherwise, it was amazing and the breakfast was delicious.

Cozy and friendly- Rating 4/5

Alamo Guest House is perfectly located by Kelvingrove Park and Finniestons pubs and restaunts. The guest house is decorated and furnished with taste andstyle. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is very friendly and competent. The room I stayed in is located in the basement which was okay, but the carpet unfortunately has a bit of an odor and some of the furniture was lacking a bit of cleanliness.
