Lovely looking building. Rooms very dated and beds terrible open sprung mattress but good size. This is no better than a Britannia Hotel. Not reflective of price. Really bad value. Should be paying £80 a night room limit. Great Breakfast

Beautiful place, just a shame about the power outage.
My husband and I stayed in The Alamo Suite for one night in February so that we could attend a wedding at a nearby venue.Prior to our visit the staff on the phone were all great, and helpful with enquiries such as parking.Whilst we were at the wedding we decided to head back to The Alamo to refresh for the evening party. Just as I had removed my day's makeup the lights went off, and there was a power outage to the room. We took ourselves out in to the hallway to see if any staff were around but unfortunately they had just clocked off for the evening.We could see lights from under other guests' doors and hear their televisions and so we realised that this problem had only affected us - and one other guest who came to find us to tell us that her television had gone off.My husband found Lee's contact number and we messaged him. He quickly responded that Tehmeena would be round to fix it, and when Tehmeena phoned us we all agreed that it would be quicker for us to try and fix the trip on the circuit board.My husband is an electrician so no bother and we were back up and running soon enough.It is worth noting that the morning after I flushed the toilet and we noticed that the lights in the room flickered. I am sure that my husband could provide more details on what the problem might be there, but you're stuck with me leaving the review.Great staff, beautiful location, nice room. tasty breakfast.We will be recommending The Alamo to friends and family, and we would like to stay again.4 stars only because of the electrical issue.Thank You

A lovely welcome!
I had a lovely welcome and Lee even upgraded my room which was a nice surprise after an exhausting day. The bed was super comfy, the room spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. It had a very calm atmosphere especially with the massage room right beside my suite so the whole place smelled like a spa! Breakfast was good. The location is great, you just cross the very quiet road to get to Kelvingrove Park. I'd definitely stay here again.
