The Superior Rooms
Skye
Welcome to your room - named after the largest Island of the Inner Hebrides, known for its dramatic and stunning physical features, as well as its long and prominent history.
Skye is home to rugged cliffs and the famous fairy pool crystal clear waters alike. It is on this island you will find Scotland’s oldest castle too. Your room too offers a visual and sensory delight - from the rainshower to the vaulted ceilings and the decorated cornicings. And right outside your window is a view of the ancient and prestigious University of Glasgow, founded in 1451.
This room bridges the gap between history and modern luxury.
Bute
Welcome to your suite - named after one of the mainland’s closest islands, and one of the only places to straddle the Scottish highlands and the Scottish lowlands.
Encapsulating the entire beauty of Scotland, and allowing visitors to take the high road or the low road.
Your room is close to our hearts and offers the finest finishings, with one of our most visually stunning en-suites and ornate details in the cornicing and furniture. It was a natural fit to name this room after what used to be the most popular summer holiday destinations for the people of Glasgow.
Like the beautiful Rothesay Bay, this room comes alive to offer a memorable retreat and haven.
Orkney
Welcome to your room - we’re glad like many who have dropped Anchor on the Orcadian shores, you have chosen this safe port for your stay,
Orkney has played host to Viking longships and World War II naval ships alike, and has earned and identity intertwined with Scottish finery. Home to the Highland Park whisky distillery, the highest concentration of premium beef cows in Europe, upmarket seafood such as crab, scallops, lobster and salmon, and seaweed fed sheep.
Named best place to live in Scotland 3 times, it’s a pleasure to name this superior room, with lavish finishings and historic details, after the group of islands that watches over the mainland from the North.
Jura
Welcome to your room - named after the island, noted for its extremes of nature, from whirlpools to raised beaches, and sprawling blanket mire peatlands.
This island is a truly wild and rugged land of inspiration. Home to the famous and diverse flavours of Jura whisky and birthplace of the classic George Orwell novel, 1984.
Your room offers a beautifully contemplative space, perfect for the creative mind or taking in the spirit of Scotland. While your unique, contemporary en-suite offers the drama of nature with a live-edge wood vanity and hand-carved stone basin.
Harris
Welcome to your room - a name synonymous with quality, as you will find emblazoned over all of our world class tweed items here in the hotel.
Harris is the island that keeps the tradition of Scotland alive, with more of the residents speaking Gaelic than English, and residents still practicing rare and traditional crafts.
Unassuming, but never lacking in quality - you can see why this room offers the same. From the marble top bedside tables, to the relaxing rainshower in your en-suite, there’s no compromise on finer details.
